Supabase alternative: your data, capacity and budget
You may like PostgreSQL while wanting closer control of project, compute and egress budgets. Compare a ready BaaS platform with the responsibilities of your own backend.
Break down the total bill
Supabase costs include more than the plan name: inspect compute, project count, transfer and usage quotas together. Keep included and free capacity in the comparison. This page does not convert current USD prices into TRY using an assumed exchange rate.
Spend cap does not cover every expense
Supabase cost controls cover selected usage items; compute and some optional add-ons are excluded. Review usage and settings together. Downsizing oversized instances or reducing unnecessary file transfers may be an alternative to migration.
PostgreSQL can move; BaaS behavior needs separate work
Tables, indexes and relations are only part of migration. Rebuild equivalent security for RLS, Auth identities, Storage rules, Edge Functions and realtime subscriptions. A SQL dump does not move the entire product.
Validate self-hosting or a custom backend against load
Supabase can be self-hosted, with security, backups, monitoring and maintenance responsibilities. Do not assume the entire stack comfortably fits a 2 GB VDS. Uygulama Cloud does not offer automatic Supabase installation; evaluate planned API + PostgreSQL packages against measured load.

Common questions
Should I move away from the free plan?
If free capacity meets your needs, migration may not be economical. Consider the current bill, feature needs and maintenance time together.
Will RLS and Auth work automatically after moving the database?
No. Identity flows, tenant boundaries and permission policies must be validated separately in the new system.
